This site contains a wet grassland habitat which provides ideal conditions for breeding Vepja and Fjöruspói. The surrounding farmland has lots of Trjáspör and Sönglævirki whilst in winter numbers of Rauðhöfðaönd and Urtönd peak.

The site is accessed from Gainsborough via the A631. At the first roundabout west of the Trent Bridge, follow the signs to Beckingham village and then take Station Street on the right. The nearest postcode is DN10 4PY. The car park is open from 9:00 to 17:00 everyday.
