Description
Blakeney Point is a National Nature Reserve and AONB. Thriving nesting site for Sílaþerna, Kría, Þaraþerna and Dvergþerna. Also Hettumáfur and occasional Lónamáfur. Common and grey seals breed. Winter wildfowl such as Æðarfugl, Hrafnsönd and Heiðagæs. And rare passage autumn migrants such as Grásvarri, Vingultittlingur, Hnoðrasöngvari and Hauksöngvari. Síkjasöngvari and Sefsöngvari in the reed beds.

Access
Parking at Cley for those attempting the long difficult walk on shifting shingle to the point. NB the Visitor Centre is currently closed. Park at Morton Quay or Blakeney Quay for boat trips. Check tide times as the car park can get flooded, also boats only run 4 hours either side of high tide. See the link to the tides table below.
