Description
Brampton Abbotts receding winter floods attract 3 species of egret, herons, and gulls. Bakkasvala colony in spring. River has Bláþyrill, Straumerla and Gulönd. Fields have Sandhæna, Turnugla, Kattugla, Svölugleða, Músvákur, Hrafn, Sparrhaukur, Sönglævirki and hares. Ancient orchard in village attracts thrushes, finches, Gultittlingur and Holudúfa.

Access
From A40/M50 roundabout take Ledbury exit, first left, left again at T junction then immediately right. Park at church, village hall or farm cafe. Bus 459 from Ledbury or Ross, one bus per day. Nearest train station Hereford, 10 miles. The circular walk indicated on the map is about 6 km.
