Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as Toppönd flying in and out of the Estuary. In the bushes and muddy areas you can find Hagaskvetta, Seftittlingur and Strandtittlingur during the winter and if you are lucky Snjótittlingur. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch Margæs, Sanderla, Rauðbrystingur, Lóuþræll, Sandlóa, Stelkur, Bjúgnefja, Fjöruspói, Grálóa, Jaðrakan and Lappajaðrakan at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
