Description
Glasfynydd Forest has mostly moorland and woodland species eg Hagaskvetta, Dalrjúpa, Garðaskotta, Hrossagaukur, Dvergsnípa, Smyrill, Turnfálki and Svölugleða. In winter Grásvarri, Krossnefur, Dómpápi, Barrfinka and Birkifinka. Few birds on the reservoir but Urtönd, Gráhegri and Gulönd possible. Fossbúi and Straumerla below the dam. For Náttfari, look for a recently felled forest area with regrowth of bracken, bramble etc - only active after dark between May and August.

Access
From Swansea take A4067 Tawe valley road then left two miles beyond Danyrogof caves. From A40 Brecon/Llandovery road, turn south from Trecastle. Buses through Trecastle regularly. Train station at Llandovery. The circular walk around the reservoir is 8 km.
