Description
Gronant has 200 pairs of breeding Dvergþerna and some Þaraþerna and Sílaþerna. Several wader species, Turnfálki, Turnugla, Hrafnsönd, Sönglævirki and Hörfinka. On the 4 ha Big Pool reserve there are Seftittlingur, Sefsöngvari, Skógfeti, Straumerla, Grágrípur, Barrfinka and Keldusvín. Sand lizards, natterjack toads, pyramid orchids, sea holly, sea purslane and other wildflowers can be found in the dunes.
