The area around Llanarmon DC is predominantly consisting of managed upland moor and shooting estate with sheep farming. Wonderful landscape with peace and solitude in abundance. Great for seeing Svölugleða and occasional sightings of Bláheiðir and Gunnfálki. In early summer you can observe Gaukur ( usually heard rather than seen) and some Fjöruspói pairs on the tops. Fossbúi along the local streams. Grágrípur nests locally.
