Description
Mere Sands Wood is a Lancashire Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve. Keep your eyes peeled for species like Dómpápi, Trjáspör, Barrspæta and Sparrhaukur as they fly to and from their nests in the woodland. If you take a seat in one of the lakeside hides you may see Toppgoði performing their elaborate courtship ritual. Bláþyrill are present as well as wintering Sefþvari. The lakes and reedbeds also support Keldusvín, Seftittlingur, Hvinönd, Skutulönd and more.There are multiple hides, and it's easy walking.
