Parc Bryn Bach is a country park with lake. Bláþyrill nest sites on the island. The area also has a Bakkasvala colony. Sönglævirki, Svölugleða, Toppgoði, Skúfönd. Occasional rarity, eg Kúfönd in 2013. The moors to the south, with footpath access, rise to 450 metres, look for possible Hagaskvetta, Steindepill, Náttfari, Músvákur, Hrafn, Þúfutittlingur, Gaukur, Fossbúi or Straumerla.

From A465 Heads of the Valleys road, take Tredegar turning, then first right on minor road for half a mile. Car park on the left. Click on the P in the map for directions. Buses from Abergavenny or Cardiff. No train station nearby.
