The Avant-port is a port zone that includes several basins along the river Rhine. It is easy to see the birds from the riverbank. Many Cigno reale and Folaga with some Germano reale and Cormorano year-round, and Moretta and Gabbiano comune in winter. During a cold winter, Smergo maggiore is sometimes seen.
