The Disselmersch Nature Reserve is surprisingly quiet and a beautiful place in spite of being in rather close proximity of the nearby A2 highway. It consists of regularly flooded meadows as well as scrubs and groups of trees. There are several small ponds that are easily to overlook as there are two observation hides. The nature reserve is surrounded by agricultural areas and villages.
