Descrizione
Along the walkway of James Larkin Road you can see many different bird species reaching out to Bull Island making it one of the best hotspots for birdwatching in Ireland.
For example Oca colombaccio, Codone, Beccaccia di mare, Volpoca, Passera scopaiola, Voltapietre, Chiurlo maggiore, Pavoncella and Alzavola can be seen in this area.
A great number of birds can be seen from Autumn to early Spring (September to February) as well as in summer. This area should be visited at low tide and definitely bring your binoculars as the Volpoca tend to stay out far in the middle of the water.
