In spring, when the meadows are flooded, the area is full of waders such as Pittima reale , Pettegola , Pantana , Beccaccino , Combattente; and ducks (e.g. Marzaiola , Mestolone , Canapiglia , Volpoca).
This is one of the few places in central Poland where you can regularly encounter Chiurlo maggiore. Other rare species that appear here regularly include Cicogna nera and Pettazzurro.
