This is a great place for migrant waterbirds and other lake birds! A lot of rare birds visit this island each year and there is always something interesting to see! Most rarities turn up in April, May, September or October.
Wintering waterfowl including Strolaga minore, Svasso collorosso, other Grebes, several species of Duck, including Moretta codona. Migrating waders in spring and autumn, including Beccaccia di mare, Cavaliere d'Italia, Avocetta, Totano moro, Fratino, Pivieressa, Voltapietre, Pittima minore and many more. Also Gabbianello, Voltolino, Mignattino comune, Mignattino alibianche and Mignattino piombato and raptors and passerines pass over this spot.
