Beykoz Wood is a good area to observe woodpeckers and forest birds. A nice wood with mature trees, gives great forest feeling with a park facilities. Easy to reach via public transportation after a great boat tour on the Bosphorus. Among the birds you can encounter are Picchio rosso minore, Picchio rosso maggiore, Picchio rosso di Siria, Picchio verde, Picchio cenerino, Capinera, Pigliamosche, Ghiandaia, Picchio muratore and Rampichino alpestre.

The first option: Take boat from Eminönü, Beşiktaş or Üsküdar to Beykoz. The entrance is in 5 minutes walking distance from the dock. The second option: Take bus from Üsküdar and get off on "Beykoz Korusu" bus stop. The entrance is in 5 minutes walking distance from the stop.
