Descrizione
Blockhouse Park (formerly Mount Pleasant Park) is the highest point in Plymouth at approximately 70 metres. Giving uninterrupted views to Bodmin Moor to the West, Dartmoor to the North East and the English Channel to the South. The Redoubt at the highest point (built in 1789) was used in WWII to identify enemy aircraft attacking the nearby naval dockyard.
The Redoubt's stable platform makes it ideal for those involved in visual migration (viz-mig) or nocturnal migration (noc-mig).
