Brandon Marsh has 8 bird hides situated around the reserve, overlooking pools hosting flocks of Fischione, Alzavola and Mestolone in winter, amongst smaller numbers of Quattrocchi. Scrapes host passage waders in spring and autumn, with breeding Pettegola, Beccaccia di mare and Corriere piccolo in summer. Other notable breeding species include good numbers of Cannaiola, Forapaglie comune and Usignolo di fiume, Cuculo and Porciglione. Lodolaio are everpresent throughout summer and into autumn. During the winter Brandon is often host to a Caspian Gull which winters amongst the gulls on East Marsh, with a few Yellow-legged Gulls mixed in too. Notable rarities over the last few years have included Gambecchio frullino and Piovanello pettorale, Falaropo beccolargo, Torcicollo and Averla capirossa.

Located off Brandon lane, best access is by driving but it is possible to cycle or walk from nearby Brandon village or Binley. Once parked, explore the reserve on foot.
