Burradon Country Park is a pleasant urban fringe site, fairly quiet, with a small lake, grassland and young trees (mostly self-sown), good for scrubland and grassland birds. The highest point offers clear viewing for visible migration. Nearby, a field with a low-lying area can develop a flash pool after particularly wet winters, giving potential for spring wader passage when suitable.

Note there are no facilities at the site. Most of the paths tend to get very wet and muddy in winter, though there are also few birds to look for then.
