Descrizione
Corsham Park was designed and landscaped by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown in 1761. The park, just on the Eastern edge of the town of Corsham has a large lake on it's Eastern edge. BE AWARE whilst a lot of the park has free access, even though the park is privately owned, the Northern side of the lake and Eastern wooded areas are strictly private (Press STARS on map). Birds include Oca canadese, Quattrocchi, Mestolone, Fischione, Alzavola, Canapiglia, Moriglione, Moretta, Germano reale and Folaga are regularly seen. Smergo maggiore use the lake as a night time roost during Winter, arriving at sunset and departing at sunrise to local rivers. The site is one of those places that is always worth visiting if you are in the area. Mignattino comune and Moretta dal collare are on the sites list and a friendly female Smergo dal cappuccio was discovered many years ago.
BE AWARE Livestock may be present on site.
