Stone Point offers a good vantage point over the River Colne with species such as Smergo minore flying in and out of the Estuary. The saltmarsh and beach are good places to watch Oca colombaccio, Piovanello tridattilo, Piovanello maggiore, Piovanello pancianera, Corriere grosso, Pettegola, Avocetta, Chiurlo maggiore, Pivieressa, Pittima reale and Pittima minore at close range during the winter. The area can be busy with visitors so early or late visits can be productive.
