Descrizione
The Firth of Lorn includes a number of islands, and is noted for the variety of wildlife habitats that are found. In 2005, a large part of the Firth became a Special Area of Conservation. Due to the tidal currents, there is a great diversity of habitats, which means that many birds and marine mammals come to this place. You can see Uria nera up close in Oban Bay, and Aquila di mare are often visible on the approach to Mull, either in flight or perched on coastal promontories.
