Frenchman's Rocks is a useful seawatch point in late summer and early autumn, best when a SW or NW wind is blowing. Best views are from the hill next to Wavegen Power Station, called Rubha na Faing on the Ordnance Survey map. There is a car park at Claddach near Currie Sands beach.
Birds to see are Moretta grigia, Orchetto marino, Strolaga maggiore, Strolaga mezzana, Strolaga minore, Berta grigia, Berta minore atlantica, Berta balearica, Uccello delle tempeste codaforcuta, Stercorario maggiore, Stercorario mezzano, Labbo, Sterna codalunga, Gabbiano di Sabine, Gabbiano tridattilo, Pittima minore, Spioncello marino, Voltapietre and Piovanello violetto.
