Descrizione
The area comprises of a large area of heathland with both deciduous and conifer woodland.
(*1), from around the car park area scan for overflying Poiana, Gheppio, Sparviere and Nibbio reale. During the Summer Falco pecchiaiolo are sometimes seen. More open areas have can have Colombella, Tordela, Picchio verde, Pispola, Allodola and Tottavilla. Gorse (Ulex) patches have Magnanina comune and Saltimpalo.
(*2), Broadleaved woodland here hold Frosone, Picchio rosso minore, Picchio muratore, Rampichino alpestre. In Summer Tortora selvatica, Pigliamosche, Codirosso, Luì piccolo, Capinera and Cuculo can all be expected. Birch (Betula) trees can attract Stiaccino, Luì verde, Beccafico, Luì grosso, Bigiarella, Fanello, Ciuffolotto and Codibugnolo.
(*3), Court Copse area, scattered scrub here on the North edge of the copse, have 'roding' Beccaccia and 'churring" Succiacapre in the evenings. More open areas have Pispola and Allodola, scattered trees can have Tottavilla and Prispolone.
Be sure to check any scrubland for Zigolo giallo, Saltimpalo, Fanello, Sterpazzola and Bigiarella. Conifers around the site can have Regolo, Fiorrancino, Cincia mora, Lucherino and the occasional Crociere comune.

Leave the M27 motorway at junction 2, on roundabout take exit signed Salisbury/Romsey/Fawley/A36, at next roundabout take second exit signed Salisbury/Plaitford/Wellow/A36. Continue on this road turning Left at sign for Bradshaw, pass over cattle grid onto Black Hill Road. Continue on this road and large car park (free) is on the Left.
