Descrizione
Around the Fish Quay in Hartlepool gulls hang around, especially on the roof. Often joined in winter by Gabbiano islandico and Gabbiano glauco. In the harbour entrance Edredone, Strolaga minore, Strolaga maggiore and Uria can often be seen. Sea watching by the lighthouse can produce a large variety of gulls, ducks, auks, terns, skua’s and shearwaters at various times of the year. The rocks along side the promenade are home to Piovanello violetto, Beccaccia di mare and Voltapietre that winter in Hartlepool bay.
