Llandegla Forest is one of the few places in Wales to see Fagiano di monte lekking. The RSPB have a hide and as of 2022, guided walks, see their website. Among the other birds you can observe in the area are Succiacapre, Pernice bianca nordica, Pispola, Gufo di palude, Smeriglio, Saltimpalo, Stiaccino, Cuculo, Tordo bottaccio, Picchio verde, Poiana, Nibbio reale, Albanella reale and Culbianco.
