Middleton-in-Teesdale is a market town in County Durham. The settlement is surrounded by the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Spring offers a great opportunity of seeing a range of birds, including woodland specialists (Balia nera Codirosso), moorland specialists and bird of upland rivers such as Fagiano di monte, Piro piro piccolo and Merlo acquaiolo. Among the other birds you can encounter are Merlo dal collare, Ballerina gialla, Lucherino and Allodola.
