In North Duffield Carrs two hides look over the Ings, named after both bird names and birdwatchers names. Winter usually announces the arrival of various wildfowl and waders such as Cigno selvatico and Moretta grigia. Spring is another migrating season where rarer waders will drop in and out of the reserve. This includes Chiurlo piccolo, Combattente and Piro piro culbianco. Summer is usually quite quiet and autumn is similar to spring.
