In Winter, hunting Falco di palude over the reeds is a common sight, along with waterfowl on the pools, Barbagianni hunting over the grassy areas, some increasingly spectacular murmaerations of Storno and with the chance of Basettino. Year round there are a number of way marked trails to follow through the reserve. Summer brings Lodolaio and Usignolo di fiume which can occasionally be heard over winter now too. Woodland birds are found in the wooded area to the south of the reserve.
