Descrizione
Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Orchetto marino, Orco marino and the rare Orco marino dagli occhiali together. Also wintering here may be Edredone, Quattrocchi, Smergo maggiore, Svasso collorosso, Svasso cornuto, all 3 diver species, Piovanello violetto and Smergo minore.
Allodola, Spioncello marino, Beccaccia di mare, Pettegola, Corriere grosso and Fanello breed here, plus Crociere comune, Lucherino and Regolo in the pines.
As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Bigia padovana, Luì forestiero and Pigliamosche pettirosso may turn up in September.
