Tatton Park has park and farmland with ancient woodland and two large meres (lakes). The biggest lake is 1 km long. In Spring and Summer this is a good area for migrants - Hirundines, terns and raptors. Nesting species are Luì verde, Picchio rosso minore, Picchio muratore, Corvo imperiale, Lodolaio, Svasso maggiore and Tuffetto. Winter visitors are Svasso piccolo, Fischione, Airone bianco maggiore, Garzetta, Saltimpalo, Quattrocchi, Alzavola, Moriglione and Canapiglia.

Walking, motor vehicle, bicycle, train (Knutsford Station), air (Manchester airport). Park in Knutsford town and walk in (free), in the Park (entrance fee, see the parks website, link below). On the map you see a 12 km circular walk, but it is easy to shorten it.
