The Skerries can be visited by charter boat. The Sterna codalunga colony varies from 2000 to 4000 pairs depending on Falco pellegrino predation. Smaller numbers of Sterna comune, Gavina, Gabbiano tridattilo, Mugnaiaccio, Zafferano, Pulcinella di mare and 1 or 2 pairs of Sterna di Dougall. Seals, common and Risso dolphins, porpoises, basking sharks to look out for. Skuas, auks, shearwaters, petrels, Sula and seaducks may be passing.

You can charter a boat from Anglesey harbour, subject to weather and tide conditions. It is a 15 km by boat from Anglesey harbour (one way). Take protective clothing ie anorak with hood, as the terns will swoop and peck.
