Description
The Rammekenshoek nature reserve consists of beach, creeks, reed beds, forest and an old sea fort. In the 'canals' around the fort you can see different types of water birds. Outside the dike lies the only remaining salt marsh of the area. It is an area washed up by the sea with creeks, mudflats, salt-loving plants and coastal breeding birds such as црвенонога тринга, остригар and сабјарка. In the reed beds that you can find throughout the area, мал трскар, трскар рогозар, Мочварна овесарка and блатна еја breed in the summer and in the winter you regularly encounter мустаклеста сипка. A голем корморан colony is present in the forest for many years and you can also find many species of forest birds. Birds that you can encounter in the area include градинарско грмушарче, блатен трскар, гусковидна патка, шарена тринга, зеленонога тринга, чапја лажичарка, мал нуркач, мала бела чапја and зелен клукајдрвец.

Buitendijks ligt het nog enige schor van Walcheren. Het is een door de zee opgewassen gebied met prielen, slibranden, zoutminnende planten en kustbroedvogels als црвенонога тринга, остригар en сабјарка. In de rietkragen die je in het hele gebied kunt vinden, broeden in de zomer мал трскар, трскар рогозар, Мочварна овесарка en блатна еја en in de winter tref je er regelmatig мустаклеста сипка. In het bos zit al jarenlang een голем корморан kolonie en kun je veel soorten bosvogels aantreffen. Vogels die je in het gebied verder kunt tegenkomen zijn градинарско грмушарче, блатен трскар, гусковидна патка, шарена тринга, зеленонога тринга, чапја лажичарка, мал нуркач, мала бела чапја en зелен клукајдрвец.

Rammekenshoek is located east of the city of Vlissingen. There are several parking lots around the area. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking lot. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 4.5 km.
