Description
I was amazed to see that the harbour at low tide is a popular roosting area for autumn migrant flocks of златно блатарче and мала чигра. Large numbers of Little Auk, мал галеб, Great Skua, арктички поморник, Long-tailed Skua, Мал завој, Sooty Shearwater, тропрст галеб and Northern Fulmar can be seen from the clifftop walk east of town.
Beyond the Seaton Cliffs reserve, 3 miles on foot from Arbroath, is Seaton Den, a wooded valley frequented by migrant passerines. Rarities like Yellow-browed Warbler, жолто гушанче, црвеногушесто муварче and дамчесто грмушарче may turn up in autumn.
Cliffs can be steep, take care with children and dogs. There is a tarmac path.
