Buckshaw Wood is an area of ancient woodland with diverse trees, birds and wildlife. The area has a big breeding colony of полска врана in nesting season. Buckshaw Wood is located in the middle of Buckshaw Village. Parking available in surrounding streets. Press P on the map for directions. Allow up to an hour or 90 minutes if birdwatching. There are well trodden, marked and signposted paths upon visiting. The area is poorly marked on online maps.
