An old quarry, now a large grassy area with lots of water, full of waterbirds.

Description

The Fingringhoe Pits are a lovely area of Fingringhoe village, with many waterbirds like голем корморан, мала бела чапја, and сива чапја here on almost every visit. It's a nice quiet area in a field, and can be made into a walk, also nearby to the Essex wildlife trust site, Fingrinhoe Wick. This area has birds all times of year, but I find Spring brilliant for nicer weather and a multitude of species nearby.
