Description
The River Monnow is a scenic area noted for blossoming fruit orchards in spring. On warm mornings up to 50 гавран soar the thermals, with глувчар and maybe a јастреб врапчар. Access
Head west from Monmouth via Rockfield to park at Skenfrith Castle. Cafe here in summer. Pub is expensive. Or take Osbaston road to Tregate bridge where there is limited parking. 6 mile circular walk available along both river banks, passing Llanrothal chapel (open) and Ruthlin mill.
