Description
The Trent Port area is flat and overlooks a number of fields and the River Trent. The River Trent is a good location for речна тринга during passage, мала бела чапја and рибарче. The surrounding fields and hedgerows have good numbers of Red-legged Partridge, Мочварна овесарка and жолтогрла стрнарка. 150 species have been recorded here including local scarcities such as шумски свиркач, дебелоклун црешар, касписки галеб and црноглаво муварче whilst мала бекасина and голем северен нуркач are annual visitors. In winter the River Trent is prone to flooding the fields, which provide some additional ornithological interest. Access
You can park by the cemetery at the end of Trent Port Road or by the end of the road near the Trent Port house. The main public footpaths can be found from the end of Trent Port Road. The site can also be accessed at the end of Littleborough Lane and walking along the public footpaths towards the river. The nearest postcode is DN21 5AR.
