Description
Wolfscote Dale is a classic limestone valley in the White Peak with steep sides, quiet paths, and the River Dove running through the bottom. For birders, it’s about quality rather than big lists. Access
Wolfscote Dale is located south of Hartington. Park in the village of Hartington, there is a Pay & Display in the village. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. The walking route shown on the map is about 5 km one way. Can be very muddy in winter when the river is high. Paths can be fairly rocky as well.
