Beschrijving
The Provincial Domain Kessel-Lo has a big pond that is home to different types of ducks, Meerkoet, Blauwe Reiger, Aalscholver, Dodaars, Knobbelzwaan and many more, which can be seen from the bird watching hide (see map). Also the IJsvogel, different woodpeckers, Boomkruiper andBoomklever reside in the area.
In winter time the Waterral can be found in the protected natural area called 'Lovenarenbroek'.

The Provincial Domain is located just northeast of the city of Leuven. There are different car parks and also a camper site. Press a P on the map for directions to a car park. The area can only be explored on foot.
