The Lammershagener Teiche are a complex of several ponds. An area well-developed with paths, allowing one to often get close to the birds. The adjacent old estate forests are rich in birds of prey such as Zeearend, Rode Wouw, and Boomvalk. The ponds are interesting for ducks like Slobeend, Wintertaling, Zomertaling, and also Dodaars. The reed beds are equally interesting with Bruine Kiekendief, Grote Karekiet, Rietzanger and Blauwborst. Also Roerdomp has been observed.
The area is particularly rich in birds during the breeding and migration season. In winter, the water is drained for a while. Then, Witgat and Oeverloper can be observed. When there is water in the ponds, Wilde Zwaan, Nonnetje and Grote Zaagbek can be observed in winter.
The old forests with their ancient oak trees are rich in small birds at any time of year. You can find Middelste Bonte Specht, Zwarte Specht, Groene Specht, Appelvink and Staartmees.
