Beschrijving
Along the stream flowing through the Ravennaschlucht gorge, you can easily observe Waterspreeuw and Grote Gele Kwikstaart. Rare Rotszwaluw nest on the large Ravenna Viaduct (1), and occasionally you might spot a Rotskruiper. Overall, it's an easily accessible spot with some rare birds.

The Ravennaschlucht is located in the southern Black Forest (Hochschwarzwald), 25 km southeast of Freiburg. You can only get there by car via the B31 or by hiking into the area. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The Ravennaschlucht is open year-round with no fixed opening hours. You can visit the gorge and hiking trails at any time. Access is free, but conditions vary by season. In winter, parts of the gorge may be closed due to ice and slippery conditions. Trails are well-marked with bridges and wooden walkways.
