Beschrijving
Get up early with high tide, before the dogwalkers appear, and the beach will have plenty of birds in easy reach of a short stroll. Scholekster, Wulp, Blauwe Reiger and Tureluur are all likely on the beach around the waterline. Steenloper, Bonte Kraai and Rouwkwikstaart may be more likely on exposed seaweed or flotsam around the tide mark. Roek is also possible. Kuifaalscholver is most likely hauled out on rocky outcrops, although Aalscholver is becoming more common in recent times. Kokmeeuw is common with occasional Zwartkopmeeuw. Eider and Wilde Eend are likely in the water.
For a slightly longer walk a path goes along the cliffs at the north end of the bay where Oeverpieper, Roodborsttapuit and Alpenkraai could be encountered.
