The Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro is a protected natural area covering 73 hectares and comprising a system of typical wetland habitats (cladiets, peat bogs, wet meadows, brome meadows, and wooded areas). The flora and fauna are very rich. The site is of significant ornithological interest due to the presence of important species, including various herons, such as the Purperreiger, the Woudaap (also a nesting species), the Kwak, the Roerdomp, the Grote Zilverreiger, and the Kleine Zilverreiger. Birds of prey include the Blauwe Kiekendief and Grauwe Kiekendief (which nest in the area), the Bruine Kiekendief, and others. Spring is ideal for observing migratory and nesting species.

Biotopo Risorgive di Flambro is located 25 km southwest of Udine, close to the village of Flambro. The area features a 2,5 km circular trail with walkways and observation points. Parking is available on the road near the Mulino Braida. Press P on the map for directions to the parking spot.
