Passo del Turchino is a very good spot to watch bird migration, especially short-distance migrants. Most of the spring migration here takes place in March to April and autumn migration in October to November. In the autumn, hundreds birds can be seen especially early in the morning: Vink, Keep, Sijs, Appelvink, Zanglijster, Koperwiek. Also Kraanvogel can be seen both in February-March and in November. Some interesting species can be seen all year round, as Zwarte Specht, Glanskop, Boomklever and Kuifmees.

Italiano: Il Passo del Turchino è un ottimo punto per osservare la migrazione degli uccelli, in particolare quelli che migrano a breve distanza. La maggior parte della migrazione primaverile qui avviene da marzo ad aprile e quella autunnale da ottobre a novembre. In autunno, centinaia di uccelli possono essere osservati soprattutto al mattino presto: Vink, Keep, Sijs, Appelvink, Zanglijster, Koperwiek. Anche il Kraanvogel può essere visto sia a febbraio-marzo che a novembre. Alcune specie interessanti possono essere viste tutto l'anno, come il Zwarte Specht, la Glanskop, il Boomklever e la Kuifmees.

The pass can be reached driving from Genova Voltri or from Masone, and there is a parking space very close to the site where the observations can be done (see map). At the site, there is a path along a stone wall, where observations can be made. On the other side of the stone wall, there is a ringing station and when the ringers are there it is possible to ask whether you can enter the property.

Italiano: Il passo è raggiungibile in auto da Genova Voltri o da Masone, e c'è un parcheggio molto vicino al sito dove è possibile effettuare le osservazioni (vedi mappa). Al sito, c'è un sentiero lungo un muro di pietra, dove è possibile effettuare le osservazioni. Dall'altro lato del muro di pietra, c'è una stazione di inanellamento e, quando gli inanellatori sono presenti, è possibile chiedere di poter accedere alla proprietà.
