The Stelvio Pass is a mountain pass in northern Italy bordering Switzerland at an elevation of 2,757 m above sea level. It is the highest paved mountain pass in the Eastern Alps, and the second highest in the Alps. On the point on the map you have a very good view on the Passo dello Stelvio. Directly after a little restaurant, where you can go by car. You sit on nearly 3000 m, surrounded by the beautiful alps and if you are lucky, the Lammergier sails on the thermals right next to you. Also Steenarend, other raptors, Raaf and many Alpenkauw. On the rocky slopes you can easily find Alpensneeuwhoen.

Italiano: Il Passo dello Stelvio è un valico alpino nel nord Italia, al confine con la Svizzera, a un'altitudine di 2.757 m sul livello del mare. È il valico asfaltato più alto delle Alpi orientali e il secondo più alto delle Alpi. Nel punto sulla mappa si ha un'ottima vista sul Passo dello Stelvio. Subito dopo un piccolo ristorante, dove si può andare in auto. Ci si trova a quasi 3000 m, circondato dalle splendide Alpi.

You can reach the area by car. In the summer/autumn parking is no big problem, you can park at the restaurant or at the hotels below. If you are very sporty, you can go by bike also. Click on the P in the map to get directions.
