The Babuna Heights area contains many species of bird of prey including Aasgier, Arendbuizerd, Slangenarend of which the best view can be seen from the ridge across the valley. With a bit of luck Steenpatrijs and Blonde Tapuit can be seen on the walk up.

The Babuna Heights are located about 60 km southeast of Skopje, near the village of Babuna. Parking for a couple of cars at 41.676209, 21.798511 (If you come up or down near this point there a lot of scrub to go through), trail up I used started at 41.671680, 21.798346 allow an hour to get to the ridge. The circular route shown on the map is about 2 km. Even if you don't climb to the ridge you can see and hear many good birds from just walking along the road.
