The Foix Delta is located in Cubelles, Barcelona province. In its final stretch the Foix river runs through a heavily urbanized area. During spring and autumn, the river mouth is a good place to observe passerine migratory bird species like Roodstuitzwaluw , Baardgrasmus , Bonte Vliegenvanger , Kleine Karekiet , Roodkopklauwier , and also shorebirds like Witgat , Tureluur , Groenpootruiter , or Bontbekplevier. Strandplevier is one of the most iconic species. Other interesting species that occur are Ralreiger , Purperreiger , and Waterral.
The following species are present all year round: Graszanger , Cetti's Zanger , and Kleine Zwartkop. Seabirds can also be observed resting or bathing in the lagoon, notably Zwartkopmeeuw , Grote Stern , and Audouins Meeuw. At sea, notable species can be observed such as Vale Pijlstormvogel , Yelkouanpijlstormvogel , Kuhls Pijlstormvogel , and Jan-van-gent.

The Foix Delta is located in the town of Cubelles, about 50 km west of Barcelona. The area can be reached by car, and it is easy to park in the Municipal Sports Centre. Press P on the map for directions to the parking. Public transport: Getting there by train is easy. The train station of Cubelles (1) is on walking distance (500m) of the Foix Delta. The circular walking route shown on the map is about 1,5 km.
