Lake Zürich (Zürichsee) is a big lake extending southeast of the city of Zürich. There are many points along the banks of the lake to check out the birdlife. Like this point in Horgen. Especially in winter more waterfowl can be seen on the lake, including Roodhalsfuut and Geelpootmeeuw. Common birds to see are Knobbelzwaan, Fuut, Blauwe Reiger, Kokmeeuw and several species of ducks. Krooneend is breeding and wintering on the lake.
