The fields near the village of Rodersdorf are very natural with many hedges and fallow areas in which Grasmus, Grauwe Klauwier, and Paapje breed. Part of the area is a small nature reserve where Grote Karekiet and other reed inhabitants can be found. Breeding at the church are Kauw. In autumn, many birds of prey such as Visarend, Grauwe Kiekendief, Bruine Kiekendief, Blauwe Kiekendief and Wespendief pass through. In addition, Zwarte Ooievaar move across the area every year. It is also one of the best Gele Kwikstaart spots in the region.
