Beschrijving

The Hehuan Pass (or Wuling Pass) at 3,275 m (10,745 ft) is located near the peak of the Hehuanshan mountain in Taroko National Park. It’s the highest paved road in Taiwan. The heights of Hehuanshan, above the tree line at over 3000 metres elevation make the area perfect to look for the birds of Taiwan's alpine zone. You can check out the areas around several car-parks or hike up one of the mountain trails. Birds you can observe include Golden Parrotbill, Alpine Accentor, Taiwan Bullfinch, Taiwan Rosefinch, Collared Bush-Robin, White-whiskered Laughingthrush and Flamecrest.
